Camrose Public Library (Local: Camrose, AB)

Camrose Public Library’s mission is to provide an excellent library service by collecting, maintaining, and making available quality print and non-print materials, and by providing services that meet the expressed and perceived information needs of the community. The library initiates programs to encourage people of all ages to use library materials and services, and to encourage literacy.

Canadian Library Association

The Canadian Library Association was founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1946, and was incorporated under the Companies Act on November 26, 1947. CLA is a non-profit voluntary organization, governed by an elected Executive Council, which is advised by over thirty interest groups and committees.

Cape Breton Regional Library (Regional: Sydney, NS)

The mission of the Cape Breton Regional Library is to assist persons with their life-long learning needs, to introduce children to books, to serve as a clearinghouse of information, to provide sources of ideas to stimulate the imagination, to act as a cultural resource for Cape Breton, and to give comfort and pleasure through recreational reading.

Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER)

CIER was created for the express purpose of establishing and implementing environmental capacity-building initiatives for First Nations. It is a national organization pursuing local, regional and international initiatives.

Colchester-East Hants Public Library Foundation

Raises money for the Colchester-East Hants Public Library, which provides public library services for Colchester County and the Municipality of East Hants in central Nova Scotia.

East Gwillimbury Public Library (York Region, ON)

Edmonton Social Planning Council Resource Library Catalogue (threeSOURCE) (Local: Edmonton, AB)

The Edmonton Social Planning Council (ESPC) is an independent, nonprofit, charitable organization. Their focus is social research, particularly in the areas of low income and poverty. They provide leadership within their community by addressing and researching social issues, informing public discussion and influencing social policy.

Fraser-Hickson Library (Local: Montreal, QC)

The Fraser-Hickson Library, founded in Montreal in 1870, serves its community as a library promoting life-long learning,literacy and good reading habits, and as a technology centre providing computer literacy training and access to worldwide information resources.

Fraser Valley Regional Library (Regional: Abbotsford, BC)

This library operates several branches throughout the Lower Mainland region, and offers a variety of services including author readings, children’s programming, homework tutors, and computer literacy programs.

The Montreal Children’s Library offers free library services to children and their families in areas of inner city Montreal. We operate three branches, outreach programs to hospitals, schools, and a Mother Goose program that helps parents interact with their children.

Ontario Library Association

Founded in 1900, the Ontario Library Association is Canada’s oldest and largest library association. The Association represents 4,000 librarians, teacher-librarians and trustees in school, college, university and public libraries across Ontario. The mission of the Ontario Library Association is to extend and improve all types of libraries and library service in Ontario, to inform the membership of developments and trends in library and information service, to publicize all aspects of library service and developments in Ontario and to co-operate with other library organizations and institutions with similar aims and objectives.

Southern Ontario Library Service

An arms-length agency of the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation, mandated to increase cooperation and coordination among public library boards and other information providers. As a nonprofit, charitable organization, SOLS delivers direct services to the provincial network of municipal and county libraries to facilitate the growth and development of libraries, their staff and trustees. SOLS fulfils its mission of providing the public library community with tools to achieve the strategic vision of fully-developed libraries in a province-wide network, through: materials and resource sharing; training and skills development; the introduction of new information technologies; and, assisting libraries in anticipating needs and adapting to change.
